One of the primary attractions in Munnar is the Echo Point, as the name suggests this point reverberates sounds. Located on a calm lake bank this point presents a breathtaking view. Eravikulam National Park a world heritage site recognized by UNESCO is home to a wide array of flora and fauna. Nilgiri Tahr, the endangered mountain goat present in this national park is the main attraction. Present here inside the confines of the national park is the Anamudi peak, the highest peak south of the Himalayas standing at 2695 meters, this hill is full of vibrant wildflowers. Kozhikode- Vasco Da Gama first landed on the shores of Kozhikode and established a spice trade route with the west. The lackadaisical pace one feels when on a boat on the tranquil backwaters of this town is incomparable. A couple of days on the backwaters can revitalize both mind and body. A splendid sunset can be viewed from the Kozhikode beach, this beach is famous for the Dolphin point, people can visit this point to spend some time with the playful dolphins. The lighthouse present here provides a panoramic view of the beach and the two piers extend into the sea, these piers are more than a hundred years old. Kodaikanal lake present here is the most popular geographical landmark, this man-made lake offers boat rides and other activities including horse riding and bicycling on the periphery of the lake. Bryant park includes 325 species of trees, shrubs, and cacti. It’s truly a sight to behold during the peak season. This park’s main feature is the large section that is dedicated to 740 varieties of roses, ornamental plants are cultivated in the nursery to be sold. Green valley point which was formerly known as the suicide point because of the 4900 ft drop overlooking the Vagai damn. This point offers a panoramic view of the valley and is lined with shops that sell handicrafts made by local artisans.
