Day 01: Varanasi Arrival
Welcome to North India Buddhist Trail tour. After arriving in Varanasi you will be received by our representative, who will escort you to the hotel. After lunch proceed to Sarnath – the very place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Must-see places in Sarnath are; Dhamekha stupa, Buddhist temples, the archaeological museum. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Varanasi – Bodhgaya
After breakfast drive to Bodhgaya. En route visit Nalanda and Rajgir. After reaching Bodhgaya check in to the hotel. Later, proceed for guided tour of Bodhgaya, visit Mahabodhi Temple. Mahabodhi Vihar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a Buddhist temple in Bodh Gaya, marking the location where the Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment. Then visit Bodhi Tree, Tergar Monastery, Wat Thai Buddhagaya, Royal Bhutan Temple. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Bodhgaya
After breakfast go for a Full day guided excursion to Saptapari Cave, Saptparni Cave or Sattaparnaguha Cave is located on a hill where the first Buddhist council was held immediately after Buddha attained Nirvana. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Bodhgaya – Rajgir – Nalanda – Patna
After breakfast proceed to Patna en route guided visit to Venuvan, Rajgir and Nalanda. After arriving in Patna, check in to the hotel. Rest of the day you’re free to relax. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Patna –Kushinagar
Post breakfast drive to Kushinagar en route visit Vaishali. After arriving in Kushinagar check in at the hotel, then proceed for a guided tour in Kushinagar, visit Japanese Temple, Mukutbandhan Chaitya – Ramabhar Stupa, Archaeological Site at Kusinagar. Have dinner and rest for the night.
Day 07: Kushinagar -Lumbini
Post breakfast drive to Lumbini. Lumbini is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Rupandehi District of Nepal. It is the place where, according to Buddhist tradition, Queen Mayadevi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama in 563 BCE. After arriving in Lumbini check in to the hotel. After lunch visit Maya Devi temple – the birth place Of Lord Buddha. After dinner rest overnight at the hotel.
Day 08: Lumbini – Kapilavastu – Sravasti– Balrampur
After breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed for Balrampur, en route visit Kapilavastu and Sravasti. After reaching Balrampur, check in to the hotel. Have dinner and rest for the night.
Day 09: Balrampur – Lucknow
Post breakfast go for local sightseeing tour of Balrampur. Later, drive to Lucknow and check in at hotel after reaching your destination. Have dinner and rest for the night at your hotel.
Day 10: Lucknow – Depart
