7 Nights 8 Days Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Kaziranga – Guwahati Tour

Day 01: Guwahati – Shillong

After arriving at the Guwahati International airport you will be received by our representative, who will escort you to Shillong, also known as ‘The Scotland of the East’. Shillong is a hill station in northeast India and the capital of the state of Meghalaya. It’s known for the manicured gardens at Lady Hydari Park. Nearby, Ward’s Lake is surrounded by walking trails. In the Northern part of the state, you can visit the Don Bosco Centre- It displays Indigenous Cultures features displays on the region’s native people. Waterfalls include the Elephant Falls to the southwest. East of here, forested Shillong Peak offers city views. After arriving, check-in to your hotel. Rest of the day you’re free to relax or explore the territory on your own. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Shillong – Sightseeing

This day we embark on a local tour of Shillong. You will get to visit Ward’s Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Spread Eagle Falls or Sati Falls, Botanical Garden, State Museum. Return to your hotel. Post lunch we visit Barapani Lake. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03: Shillong – Cherrapunjee

Make an excursion to Cherrapunjee ‘The Wettest Place on Earth’, visit Limestone Cave, Waterfalls – Waterfalls – Nohsngithiang Falls, Dainthlen Falls, Nohkailikai Falls (world’s fourth highest) and on your way back visit Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak. In the evening you can relax or you can visit the Police Bazaar. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 04: Cherrapunjee –  Kaziranga National Park

After breakfast, proceed towards Kaziranga. The sanctuary, which hosts two-thirds of the world’s great one-horned rhinoceroses, is a World Heritage Site. Kaziranga is also home to the highest density of tigers among protected areas in the world and was declared a Tiger Reserve in 2006. The park is home to large breeding populations of elephants, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer. Kaziranga is recognized as an Important Bird Area by BirdLife International for the conservation of avifaunal species. En-route visit Elephant Falls, Gunner’s Falls 1 and Shillong Peak. Check-in to your hotel after reaching Kaziranga. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Kaziranga National Park

In the morning go for an Elephant Safari in the National Park, then back to the Resort for breakfast. Relax until Lunch. After lunch, go for another jeep safari in the National Park. In the evening you can visit the local village area to explore their culture and lifestyle. Have dinner and rest for the night.

Day 06: Kaziranga – Guwahati

On day six after breakfast we will escort you to Guwahati. Check-in to your hotel after reaching Guwahati. You’re free to relax for the rest of the day. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 07: Guwahati – Sightseeing

In the morning visit Kamakhya Temple. Return to the hotel. Post breakfast we embark on a sightseeing trip to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary. In the evening go for Brahmaputra Cruise. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 08: Guwahati – Airport

After breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed toward the airport for your onward journey.
