Day 01: Arrive Delhi
We at Delight India Holiday welcome you to your Buddhist tour Pilgrimage with Taj Mahal tour. After arriving at the Delhi Airport you will be received by our representative, who will take you to your pre-booked hotel. You must be tired so, after check-in at the hotel take some rest and get refreshed. Later in the evening you can visit Red fort to enjoy the Light and sound show. Red fort was the residence of Mughal emperors for nearly 200 years. After dinner, rest for the night at your hotel.
Day 02: Delhi – Patna/ flight – Bodhgaya 198km
After breakfast check out of the hotel and we will drop you at the Delhi airport to take your flight for Patna. After reaching the Patna airport you will be escorted to Bodhgaya tour packages. When you reach your destination check in to the hotel. After lunch go for a guided tour in Bodhgaya. Visit Mahabodhi Temple, Mahabodhi Vihar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a Buddhist temple in Bodh Gaya marking the location where the Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment. Then visit Bodhi Tree, Tergar Monastery, Wat Thai Bodhgaya, Royal Bhutan Temple. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Bodhgaya
After breakfast go for a Full day guided excursion to Saptapari Cave, Saptparni Cave or Sattaparnaguha Cave is located on a hill where the first Buddhist council was held immediately after Buddha attained Nirvana. Back to hotel for dinner and rest for the night.
Day 04: Bodhgaya – Varanasi
After breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed to Varanasi, after reaching Varanasi check in to your hotel. After lunch proceed to Sarnath – the very place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Must-see places in Sarnath are the Dhamekha stupa, Buddhist temples and the archaeological museum. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Varanasi – Kushinagar
Post breakfast drive to Kushinagar. Check in at the hotel when you reach Kushinagar, then proceed for a guided tour of Kushinagar, visit Japanese Temple, Mukutbandhan Chaitya – Ramabhar Stupa, Archaeological Site at Kusinara. Have dinner and rest for the night.
