Day 01: Bangalore Arrival
We at Delight India Holiday welcome you your Southern India Wildlife Trail tour. After arring at the Bangalore airport you will be received by our representative, who will escort you to the pre booked hotel. After checking in the hotel freshen up and go for a City tour. Visit Tippu’s palace, Lalbaug, Vidhana Soudha, Venkatappa Art Gallery. Have Dinner and rest for the night at your hotel.
Day 02: Bangalore – Nagarhole
After breakfast check out of the hotel. Proceed to Nagarhole. Nagarhole National Park is located in Kodagu district and Mysore district in Karnataka. This park was declared the thirty seventh Project Tiger tiger reserve in 1999. It is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. After reaching Nagarhole check in to the hotel. In the evening you’re free to enjoy tea/coffee and snacks. Have dinner and rest for the night.
Day 03: Nagarhole National Park
In the morning go for a Safari in the National Park. The park protects the wildlife of Karnataka. The important predators and carnivores in Nagarhole National Park are the Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, Ussuri dhole, sloth bear and the striped hyena. The herbivores are chital, sambar deer, barking deer, four-horned antelope, gaur, wild boar and Indian elephant. Nagarhole National Park provides an opportunity to see some of the southern population of gaur. Also, this park is a good place to see elephants in the luxuriant forests and bamboo thickets which they most enjoy.
After your safari come back to your hotel for breakfast, relax in the afternoon. In the evening you will go for another Safari in the Jungle. Have dinner and rest for the night at your hotel.
Day 04: Nagarhole- Bandipur
After breakfast proceed to Bandipur. Bandipur National Park, an 874-sq.-km forested reserve in the southern Indian state of Karnataka, is known for its small population of tigers. Once the private hunting ground of the Maharajas of Mysore, the park also harbors Indian elephants, spotted deers, gaurs (bison), antelopes and numerous other native species. The 14th-century Himavad Gopalaswamy Temple offers views from the park’s highest peak. After arriving check in to the hotel/ resort. In the evening you’re free to relax and enjoy at the Resort. Have dinner and rest for the night.
Day 05: Bandipur National Park
In the morning go for a Jungle Safari, then breakfast to your Resort. Relax till luch and after lunch go for another Safari in search of Tigers and other wild life in Bandipur Jungle. In the evening have tea/ coffee at the Resort. Have dinner and rest for the night.
Day 06: Bandipur -Madumalai National Park &Theppakadu Elephant Camp
On day six, visit The Mudumalai National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary in search of wildlife. The area is home to several endangered and vulnerable species including Indian elephant, Bengal tiger, gaur and Indian leopard, also visit Theppakadu Elephant Camp. In the evening go back to your hotel. Have dinner and rest for the night.
Day 07: Bandipur- Ooty
Visit Ooty Lake, St. Stephen’s Church, Botanical Garden, Rose Garden – the Rose Garden is home to over 2,000 varieties of roses, Doddabetta peak from here you will get the beautiful view of the city, Tea Gardens etc. Explore local markets.
Day 08: Ooty –Annamalai Tiger Reserve
After breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed towards Annamalai Tiger Reserve. After arriving check in to your hotel. In the evening you’re free to enjoy the surrounding environment and have tea/ coffee. Have dinner and rest for the night.
Day 09: Annamalai – Munnar
In the morning you will go for a Safari in the Tiger Reserve. You will find Indian Wildlife species such as anther, Sloth Bear, Porcupine, Tiger, Deer, Wild elephant, Flying Squirrel, Pangolin, Gaur and Civet Cat. After breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed to Munnar. After reaching Munnar check in at the hotel/ Resort. In the evening you’re free to enjoy tea/ coffee. Have dinner and rest for the night.
Day 10: Munnar – Eravikulam National Park
After breakfast visit Eravikulam National Park and other attractions in Munnar like Mattupetty Dam, Eco Point, Tata Tea Plantation etc. Have dinner and rest for the night at the hotel.
Day 11: Munnar –Thekkady
After breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed to Thekkady. After reaching Thekkady check in to the hotel and proceed to for a city tour. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is the prime attraction of Thekkady, also known as Periyar Tiger Reserve. This wildlife sanctuary is home to tigers and also boasts of a significant Elephant population, as well as rare lion-tailed macaques, sambar deer, leopards , Wild Bison, Wild Bear and Indian bison. In the park’s north, Periyar Lake is popular for boat rides. Farther north, spice plantations surround the town of Kumily. After reaching check in to the hotel.
Day 12: Periyar National Park:
In the morning visit the Wildlife Sanctuary on a boat Safari. Have breakfast at the hotel/ resort. After breakfast proceed to the Elephant Junction. Spend the entire day enjoying different activities related to Elephant in the Junction. You can go for an Elephant ride, Elephant bath, shower, you can feed them, take pictures. In the evening go back to the hotel. Have dinner and rest for the night.
Day 13, Thekkady- Cochin (depart):
On the last day of your 12 Nights 13 Days Southern India Wildlife Trail tour, after breakfast check out of the hotel. Our driver will drop you at the Cochin airport to take your flight towards your further journey.
